Reset a User's PIN
There are two ways to reset a user's PIN:
- Within the Edit User screen (for a single user only).
- Create an Import task (for multiple users). Refer to Import the User List if you prefer to set multiple user PINs at the same time.
Resetting the User's PIN code does not reset their PIN password.
Reset the PIN for a single user
This task provides instructions to reset the PIN for a single user.
To reset a PIN, you must also enter the User's primary email address. The system will send the new PIN information to the user at this email address.
- Select Administration from the ribbon.
- Select Users → List.
- Use the Search feature to locate the user who needs a PIN reset.
- Click on the User's Network Name in the User List to open the Edit screen.
- In the 'General' section, enter the user's primary email address if it is not already entered.
- Locate the PIN field. You can either click in the field and enter a new PIN manually, or you can click Generate to create a random numeric or alpha-numeric PIN of a set length.
- The new PIN appears in the field. When you click Save in the field an email is generated behind the scenes to inform the user.
- If you also need to set or reset a PIN password, click Set Password, and enter a password. You can only set a PIN password if you have already set a PIN.
