Troubleshooting Embedded for Konica Minolta

The Konica Minolta device will refuse connections in the event its embedded webpage is being accessed remotely. This can interfere with registration of the application. If closing down all connections to the devices embedded webpage is not possible the easiest course of action is to reboot the Konica Minolta device.After the reboot attempt the registration process again.

In a web browser navigate to the Konica Minolta Services URL
Example: https://192.168.0.82/km or https://IUM-2012/km)
Information such as Firewall Status, host service port and the default MFP start url can be found on this page. The Client Services connection can be verified with a quick status message.

Navigate to the Embedded.config file
Default Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Print Audit IUM Konica Minolta\embedded.config.
Right click and select Edit or Open with Notepad
Under the server address tag add the openapiloglevel=”3” after the region designation
Example: <server address="192.168.0.82" httpport="80" listenport="50003" region="The Americas" openapiloglevel="3"/>
Ensure the Konica Minolta Services have been restarted for logging changes to take effect

From the windows Start Menu type services.msc
Navigate to Print Audit IUM Konica Minolta Embedded
Right click and select Restart or Stop.
*Note: If Stop is selected Konica Minolta Embedded services will not resume until the service is restarted

The following is an example of card reader configuration. Please refer to manufacturer documentation for device specific information or further details on configuration info. This configuration pertains to the data received by the card reader device based on data available on the applied card. Card reader support is determined by manufacturer and specific model support information must be determined from the manufacturer.
- Download the HID OMNIKEY USB CDC EEM DRIVER (https://www.hidglobal.com/drivers/28595)
- Install the driver
- Restart (may not be needed)
- Plug in the reader
- Open a browser and go to http://192.168.63.99/
- Go to the Keyboard Wedge tab
- In "Gneral Config" check "Keyboard Wedge Enable"
- In "Card Data Selection"
- Change the "Card Type" to "FSK Prox"
- Uncheck "PACS"
- Check the "PACS Custom 1"
- In the "PACS Custom 1" row
- Set "Offset" to 1
- Set "Length" to 24
- Set "Poststrokes" to "[ENTER]"
- In "Card Data Manipulation" in row 1 of the "PACS Custom" table
- In the "Format" section, set the "Format" to "DEC"
- In the "Padding" section
- Check the checkbox (it doesn't have a label)
- Set "Length" to 5
- Go to the System Config tab
- Click "Apply Changes"
- Click "Store Changes"
