Create a Job Export Configuration
Job exports are essentially a template used to configure export options and then save them for re-use. Once you create a new Job Export, it is also listed on the Export Configurations screen, where you can edit the export configuration at any time.
- Select Job Accounting from the ribbon.
- Select Export and then select Configurations.
- To start a new job export configuration, click Create.
- Enter a Name for the job export that you will use to identify it in the Job List screen.
- From the Type list, select one of String Delimited, Fixed Width or XML.
- From the Row Delimiter list, choose the option to indicate the end of line marker from the following: No Delimiter, Custom Delimiter (enter the character(s)), CR Only (Macintosh), LF Only (Unix), CR and LF (Windows).
- From the Field Delimiter list, enter a character that will indicate the start or end of a field. This character is only used if one of Delimiter on start or Delimiter on end is enabled.
- Set the Escape fields option to 'Yes' if you want to distribute the data into columns and rows using the delimiters.
- Enable Delimiter on Start and/or Delimiter on end to 'Yes' if you want to applied the Field Delimiter to indicate either the start or end of a new field.
- Set Write column names to 'Yes' to add a row to the output file containing the name of each column.
- Set Strip duplicate delimiters to 'Yes' to ignore a delimiter character if it appears twice in a row.
- From the Destination list, select one option:
- Download – Downloads the file to the specified Downloads folder on the local computer.
- Email – You can attach the export file to an email message. If you choose this option, 'From', 'To', 'Subject', and 'Message' fields also appear.
- Network Folder – If you select this option, you can then type the Network folder path in the Folder field that appears.
- FTP Upload –Requires the FTP URL, username and password.
- Web Upload – Requires the web URL, username and password.
- Click Create. The Edit Export screen appears offering additional configuration options for the Job Export. Refer to Edit Job Export Options for details about the extra options.
The type you choose determines the remaining options that will be available for selection. All options are described below.
From the Edit Export screen, you can click Run to execute the export immediately. Otherwise, the new configuration will appear on the Job Export list in the Export Configurations screen. You can then run the saved export configuration at any time.
